VALUE and ESTATE REALIZATION SERVICE

Value and Estate Realization Service ("VRS") is a professional firm dedicated to maximizing the net amount of money obtained from the disposal of property in an estate . . . and to minimizing the conflict and market questions often experienced by the heirs in handling such matters. VRS principals are licensed Auctioneers.

Services Provided:

  • VRS will inventory and characterize the property for estate or insurance purposes.
  • VRS will, at the appropriate time, appraise the property or review an existing appraisal.
  • VRS will provide recommendations as to which property should be disposed of promptly and which held for appreciation.
  • VRS will, through its national network, find and complete the sale of valuable items.

Who Works With VRS:

  • Executors of wills who wish to engage professional assistance in proper estate disposal.
  • Attorneys who wish to safeguard the interests of their estate or family law clients
  • Bank Trust Officers and Estate Planners who want to preserve values in estates without handling personal property or real property issues.
  • Heirs with substantial values in art, antiques, jewelry, furniture and other personal property who wish to assure their proper marketing and appreciation.

Compensation:

VRS charges are based upon a minimum two hour fee plus out-of-pocket costs for work to be performed. Compensation is specified in advance for each individual case after properties are examined and described. There is a fee structure depending on the nature of the work. In cases involving the disposal of major assets, an incentive arrangement is included.
